Cycling Vlaanderen aims to teach children between 5 and 14 years of age to cycle safely. On a challenging bike course, children can improve their technical skills on the bike. Stop by Cycling Vlaanderen's stand during the Para-cycling World Championships and experience cycling fun in Ronse.

The city of Ronse is organising four days of “Summer in Ronse” on the Grote Markt. They are offering a varied evening programme for residents and visitors to the 2025 UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships. From fun kids' entertainment in the afternoon to spectacular performances when night falls, there is something for everyone! Discover the programme below.

The Sportinnovatiemobiel travels around Flanders and Brussels and, wherever it stops, it is converted into an innovative sports centre where up to twenty athletes per hour can discover various exergames. Exergames are interactive sports and exercise applications that combine the appeal of video games with the fun and benefits of physical activity. Only by moving can you advance in the game, score points and win. Discover it at the Grote Markt in Ronse!

We dive into the fascinating world of penny-farthing bicycles, an iconic means of transport from the 19th century. With its enormous front wheel and smaller rear wheel, this bicycle evokes a sense of nostalgia. Our experts will guide you as you ride these unique bicycles. You will be provided with a leather jacket and top hat. Experience a continuous workshop filled with adventure and freedom, high in the saddle and back in time.

With the hand bike simulator, you can experience for yourself how difficult it is to ride a hand bike up Kruisstraat. On a stationary hand bike and the course on the screen, you can feel the effort the athletes put in during this World Championship. All parameters such as power, cadence, speed, time and incline are also displayed graphically. On the bike, you have to push yourself, of course, but you also have to choose the gear based on the difficulty level and your athletic ability.

The principle behind this animation is as ingenious as it is simple: participants ride bicycles and propel miniature cyclists forward on the velodrome. The faster you cycle, the faster the miniature cyclist (with moving cyclists!) in the same colour as your bicycle moves forward! The first to complete one or two laps is the winner! The animator supervises the races with a wireless microphone, adding to the experience. An ideal combination of sport and fun!

An animation that is not only sporty, but also provides a tasty and healthy refreshment in a very ecological way. Fill the blender with your favourite fruit mix and pedal the bike to prepare your smoothie. Cheers!
